As a respected subsidiary of MKE Development Corp., established in 2005, Distinctive Pergolas specializes in designing, manufacturing, and installing premium motorized louvered roof pergolas for year-round outdoor living as well as Jumbo Umbrellas for residential and commercial applications.
Founded by Michael and Kathy Egasti, we have built a strong reputation in both residential and commercial projects, from custom pergolas to new-home builds and renovations, and home theaters. Our pergola systems feature state-of-the-art aluminum components from top national and international manufacturers.

Our Expert Pergola Team
Michael Egasti, Owner/President
Michael's background in civil and environmental engineering and over 30 years of experience as a builder, audio-video specialist, and aluminum carpentry expert installer make him a highly sought-after expert in his field. He is particularly well-known for his ability to construct 100% electric homes, install high-end private home movie theaters, and create custom aluminum louvered roof pergolas.
Michael is an established designer, manufacturer, and lead installer. He takes great pride in his work, as evidenced by the three award-winning commercial and residential pergolas that he has built. Michael has also won the 2025 Silver Prism Award for Builder/Remodeler of the Year.
Kathy Egasti, Owner/Vice President
Kathy's expertise in the construction and audio-video industry is extensive, with over 30 years of experience. Her specialty lies in various key areas, including management, sales, customer service, purchasing, and architect and client relations. Her wealth of knowledge in these areas has allowed her to excel in her field and set her apart from her peers. In management, Kathy has honed her skills to ensure effective leadership and project management. Her expertise in customer service enables her to provide excellent support to clients and maintain a high level of satisfaction.
